iEMSs 2024 voting – extended deadline 28 May

Update: We have extended the deadline to cast your vote for the 2024 elections to the iEMSs Board and Office by one week, to allow all members to cast their votes given that we are all busy preparing for our Biennial Conference and the May/June period is traditionally busy in general.

Please ensure that you have cast your votes by May 28th midnight CEST. Please make sure to cast your votes via this form by the deadline:  https://iemss.org/home/elections2024/

Elections Timeline

March 8th – Circulate Information Letter # 1 to membership
March 15th – Call for nominations opens
April 22nd – Closing date for nominations
May 5th – Open the online form for vote casting
May 28th – Closing date for election votes
June 10th – Finalize results of elections

June 26th – Announcement of the election results at the Biennial Conference in Michigan and on the iEMSs website

Eligibility

Please note that only active members are eligible to participate in the elections, both as voters and candidates. An active membership means that you have an activated membership status on the iEMSs website (either having purchased an individual membership, or having attended iEMSs 2022 in Brussels and activated your complimentary membership as instructed after the event). In addition, you need to be logged in to the site with your membership account to access the forms. Then you will see the elections link as well in your Member Only Services block on the bottom left of the website as well when you are logged in. This is necessary to ensure that only active members participate in the voting!

Dear colleagues, due to several requests for an extension of the nomination deadline, we are adjusting the timeline as follows:

Elections Timeline

The following timeline will be followed:

March 15th – Call for nominations opens

April 22nd – Closing date for nominations (completed)
May 5th – Open the online form for vote casting
May 21st – Closing date for election votes
May 30th – Finalize results of elections

June 26th – Announcement of the election results at the Biennial Conference in Michigan and on the iEMSs website

Results of the 2022 Elections

The elections committee, consisting of Peter Khaiter (Chair), Sue Cuddy, Georgii Alexandrov and Min Chan, has reported the outcomes of the 2022 elections to the Biennial General Meeting on 23 June. BGM participants have ratified the results, as follows:

A first meeting of the new Board and Office will be scheduled for late July/early August to establish the priorities, committees and working topics for the coming two years. On behalf of the Society, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to any Office or Board members completing their terms this year and cordially welcome all new Board members and officers into their roles.
